About TIE
TIE is a project within the scope of a multilateral school partnership. The partnership is approved by the European Union and supported by means of the EU "Lifelong Learning Programme COMENIUS". The basic idea of TIE - "Together in Europe” is to give students from 6 schools in 6 different European countries an impression of the living conditions of their partners in 6 different places.
To achieve this aim, we collect information about five subjects: Migration, management of environment, problems of leisure activities, school systems and cuisine. Each partner school of TIE is responsible for one of these items; the others have to provide the school in charge of one item with information from their own place/region. Due to this organisation of work, continuous cooperation is required from all partners on the one hand, sharing of responsibilities is guaranteed on the other hand. Communication takes place during 5 TIE project meetings (one in each place except Athens), by newsletters, email-contacts and by using the forums on this website.
Each school will have to prepare a final product (a brochure, a CD or a DVD, depending on the subject) which must include comparative results of its research. The final products will be put together in a kind of guide of the 6 places in Germany, Greece, Italy, Poland, Lithuania and the Netherlands.
- Aims
- The central aim of the TIE project is to make the involved students aware of the diversity of their cultures as well as of common European grounds and to promote European co-operation among young people, as it is expressed in the title of the project: “TIE - Together in Europe”.
- Participants
- There are 5 schools from different countries in Europe participating in TIE - "Together in Europe”. Their social and cultural backgrounds vary and thus the project gives a diverse view of European people's lives.
